The University System of Georgia’s African-American Male Initiative recently held a conference at which group members gathered to discuss their challenges and achievements at Macon State College. UWG's delegation was led by Dr. Jack Jenkins of the Office of Institutional Diversity.
AAMI, which was started more than eight years ago, works to bolster the rates of retention, progression and graduation of African-American males in education.
