Every year Carrollton holds the People's Parade for July 4th. UWG this year won 2nd place in the float contest! Now, we just have to win 1st next year!
Float design and assembly was coordinated by Ms. Danielle Tackett, who would like to thank "Lorene Flanders and her husband, Paul Campbell, for loaning us their 1979 Alfa Romeo for the float. The Alfa is just perfect for our Go West advertising. Their car is featured in our Go West campaign, as well as on our home page".
We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped decorate the float and/or walk in the parade. Susan Fleck, Suzanne Garrett, Teresa Ock, Karen Lingrell, Jan Ridgway, Julie and Henry Dobbs, Elaine Heath-Ward, Dana Sykes-Webster, Kentralle Goodwin, Buddy Lambert, Brooke Keener and Katie Kilgore -- we appreciate all your hard work.
