Since Aleta Watson's graduation in summer 2010, she has been steadily working in her chosen career of journalism. She recently reached a new peak in her career when she got the chance to meet a great source of inspiration: singer Jill Scott.
This summer for Aleta has been a season of triumph as she works toward her dreams of becoming a writer for Essence magazine. Furthermore, she has utilized the summer to learn more about journalism and the professional world.
As she takes the time to learn, she reflects upon her journey from her beginnings as a student in the Humanities building to her current pursuit of success while exuding uplifting spirit and positivity. For her, she refuses to "shun the struggle," but instead continues with diligence.
