Storm yields tornado watches, rain throughout county

by Rachel Lane/Times-Georgian

After a month with almost no rainfall, Sunday's sprinkles and prediction of more rain was meet with relief by many.

However, on Monday, the often heavy downpours caused babbling brooks to become turbulent rivers overflowing their banks, as parking lots came to more closely resemble ponds and roads started to look more like waterways.

Even with a couple inches of water on some roads and tornado watches for much of the afternoon, Carroll County 911 had no reports of major flood or storm damage by press time.
