Summer LEGO camps for kids!

The Department of Continuing Education invites you to treat your children to LEGO Camp!




 LEGO Junior Engineering Class


The LEGO Junior Engineering program is offered to students in grades 2-3. The program is a great hands-on learning and building experience. Students working in pairs will creatively build and modify machines using basic engineering skills and LEGO kits. The concepts which are promoted in this course are basic engineering principles, simple machines, forces in motion, problem solving and communication skills. 


The program will be offered both at the UWG main campus in Carrollton and at the UWG Newnan campus. The main campus program will be offered June 11-14 with the program beginning at 9 AM and ending at 12 PM, noon. The Newnan campus program will be offered May 29-June 1 with the program beginning at 9 AM and ending at 12 PM, noon. See below for pricing and location details.


LEGO Vehicle Engineering Class

The LEGO Vehicle Engineering program is offered to students in grades 4-6. The program is a great hands-on learning and building experience. During the class, students will work in pairs to creatively build up to 13 different motorized vehicles capped off with a final project using unique LEGO kits. Vehicles that will be built include everyday vehicles, concept cars, construction machines and more. The concepts promoted in this class are basic engineering principles, gearing and gear ratios, electric motors and energy, friction, forces, motion and aerodynamics, problem solving, and communication skills.

The program will be offered both at the UWG main campus in Carrollton and at the UWG Newnan campus. The main campus program will be offered June 11-14 with the program beginning at 1 PM and ending at 4 PM. The Newnan campus program will be offered May 29-June 1 with the program beginning at 1 PM and ending at 4 PM. See below for pricing and location details.

Pricing and location details

All programs being offered cost $109.

Both courses being offered at the Newnan campus will meet in the Newnan Center on campus.

Both courses being offered at the UWG main campus in Carrollton will meet in Adamson Hall, room 228. Adamson Hall is located on Campus Front Drive on the main campus.
