The weekend of April 20-22 marks a plethora of events for
music lovers as the University of West Georgia will be hosting music festivals
and concerts on each of those days.
The first event featured is the 27th Annual
Sunbelt Jazz Festival, set for Friday, April 20 in the Townsend Center for the
Performing Arts. The festival will feature acclaimed trombonist Bob McChesney
of Los Angeles.
Saturday, April 21 brings the West Fest music festival. The
concert will include several local bands and performers. The festival directly
benefits the Carroll Counter Chapter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta.
West Fest will take place at the UWG Athletic Complex.
Last but not least, on Sunday, April 22; The Band Perry will
perform live in the Coliseum. The band is Grammy Nominated for Best New artist
and is the reigning CMA and ACM Top New Artist of the Year. This is definitely
a weekend worth “Going West” for!
