City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell and Kaplan K12 to host Free College Prep Series

Atlanta City Council President Ceasar C. Mitchell has teamed up with Kaplan K12 and College Prep to host the 12th semi-annual College Prep Series.

The free event, which is designed to help metro Atlanta students prepare for the SAT, PSAT, and ACT exams and navigate the college application process, gives attendees an opportunity to get advice directly from testing and admissions experts.

Since its inception, more than 4,500 metro area students have participated.

Whether your teen is planning to take the SAT, the ACT or both, students feel enormous pressure to score well on college entrance exams. Experts say preparation is not only key but also crucial in scoring well on the college entrance exams.

"It is a pleasure to continue providing free college entrance exam practice tests to metro Atlanta students," said Mitchell. "Preparation is essential to doing well on these exams. The College Prep Series helps students not only prepare, but know their challenging areas, as well. This information helps them know the areas they should focus their future preparation for the actual test."

The College Prep Series is open to any middle school student, high school student, and parents in the Atlanta area.
Kaplan K12 and College Prep continues to provide free practice tests for participants, as well as a simulated testing environment to help students know what to expect when they take the real test.
"Kaplan is proud to be a strategic education partner for the city of Atlanta. We stand shoulder to shoulder with City Council President Mitchell to bring the highest and best education services for the students of Atlanta Public Schools." said Ted Robinson, Vice President of Sales, Kaplan K12 & College Prep.

  1. I hope this event was well attended. Kaplan offers great time tested tips on the SAT and ACT. It is well worthwhile for both parents and students to attend these free events. Another great resource online is at http://affordable-tutor.com/tutor-blog/ There are short to the point videos on targeted SAT and ACT topics such as when to use a calculator.
