Carrollton police are trying to find out who is trying to pass counterfeit $100 bills at businesses — and even residences — in town.
Police have had about 10 reports since mid-July of people trying to spend the fake money, said Capt. Chris Dobbs.
Dobbs said the money is washed-out $5 bills disguised as $100 bills.
