Bowen Appointed Assistant Vice President for Campus Planning and Facilities

The University of West Georgia is pleased to announce that Brendan Bowen has been named assistant vice president for campus planning and facilities.

Bowen comes to UWG from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Ind., where he was vice president of operations and facilities planning.

Prior to that, he worked at Sodexho Campus Services and Western Kentucky University, from which he holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He has more than 27 years of experience in strategic facilities management, capital construction and environmental health and safety.

“We feel extremely fortunate to have been able to attract an individual with Mr. Bowen’s exceptional credentials and experience,” said Jim Sutherland, UWG’s vice president for business and finance. “We look forward to his joining our team on May 2.”

Bowen replaces Mike Renfrow, who is retiring after 14 years of service.
