The Second Year Experience Program currently is running a campus wide canned food drive to benefit the Carroll County Soup Kitchen so that they will have plenty of supplies for their Thanksgiving meal and baskets.
The drive began October 10 and will continue until November 10. On November 10, from 10 am to 2 pm, TSYEP will be hosting a sculpture competition with the sculptures being made out of the donated cans. The competition will take place in the walkway between the TLC and Campus Center.
Those who donate do not have to participate in the competition, but TSYEP is encouraging UWG departments, student organizations and any other UWG groups to participate in the competition. A grand prize of $200 will be awarded to the best sculpture with smaller prizes being awarded to a few other sculptures.
