The University of West Georgia Department of History is hosting a talk by Theodore Van Kirk on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 7 P.M. in TLC 1305. Van Kirk is the last surviving crew member of the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945.
Van Kirk has spoken before at UWG, with the crowd overflowing the room. He is an engaging speaker and generously answers questions following his talk. The event is free and open to the public, so come out and hear about one of the most momentous events in human history from someone who experienced it firsthand.
