Dr. Merrill Norton, Pharm.D., NCAC II, CCS, CCDP-D, will present " MARIJUANA, The Big Lie" to the UWG Community on October 19th at 7:00 pm in TLC Room 1305. His presentation will include the most recent research about this controversial drug, used both as a medical alternative as well as a recreational drug. Dr. Norton, a passionate and entertaining speaker, the author of the "Hijacking of the Brain" , "The Pharmacology of Psychoactive Chemical Use, Abuse, and Dependence", as well as multiple other publications, is on the faculty of the University of Georgia and is a nationally acclaimed speaker on the subject of addiction. Dr. Norton designs curriculum to train medical providers and pharmacists. We are indeed privileged to have this opportunity to have him speak to our students.
