Becky Deese, the elections supervisor for the Carroll County Board of Elections, will speak Saturday, Oct. 8, at the local chapter of the League of Women Voters lunch meeting.
Deese will speak about voting machine logic and accuracy. This is a very interesting and detailed process to get every election voting machine tested and ready for the upcoming election.
In the past, Carroll County has outsourced this procedure to a contractor. But this year it will be doing it in-house to save money and make a positive step for total responsibility by the Carroll County Board of Election for accurate elections.
The public is invited to attend the meeting of the League of Women Voters of Carrollton and Carroll County. It will be at the 12 p.m. at the Sunnyside Cafe, 405 Rome Street, Carrollton, 770-836-3210.
