We are very proud to announce that our Men’s Basketball Program has received an invitation to continue play in the 2012 NCAA South Regional, as the 3rd seed, March 10-13, in Huntsville, Alabama. Our guys will get the Tournament off to a rousing start as we tipoff at 1 p.m. (ET) on Saturday against the Eckerd Tritons. We are proud of our Wolves and wish to take all of West Georgia to Huntsville on Saturday to provide that “6th Man” support for our guys!
Let’s provide a great “send-off” for the team and coaches Thursday evening as they depart The Coliseum, bound for Huntsville! The bus is set to leave the station at 6 p.m. Come join us around 5:45 p.m. in the loading dock area as we send the team on its way, knowing the UWG community is fully behind them as they set sail!
Saturday Tip-off vs. Eckerd. 1 P.M. Spraggins Hall. Huntsville, Alabama. Adult tickets - $8. Student tickets - $4. Let’s “rock the house” in support of our Wolves!! A win on Saturday will propel us into the semi-final round Sunday afternoon against the winner of the Christian Brothers/Florida Southern matchup.
Want to stay in Huntsville for all the exciting action? We’ve reserved rooms for you at Courtyard by Marriott, a newly opened inn near the university at $74/night plus tax, which includes breakfast each morning. Rooms are available by replying to this email or giving me a call by the end of the day on Wednesday. We have rooms available for Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday evenings. Several rooms have already been claimed ….assure yourself the opportunity to relax overnight in comfort with your fellow Wolves by giving us a shout today.
