Under the direction of Dr. Daniel F. Bakos, the UWG Jazz ensemble hosts Los Angeles jazz trombonist Bob McChesney. Steven Loewy of the All Music Guide to jazz pays homage to McChesney as "a technical monster on the trombone, someone who is so advances that others merely quake in his path." no wonder he receives such lofty acclaim. McChesney can be heard on CDs with everyone from Ray Charles to Rod Stewart and Natalie Cole to Diana Krall.
