Georgia Trend Honors Bolling, a UWG Alumnus, and UWG President Sethna

Georgia Trend magazine has selected Bill Bolling, a UWG alumnus, as its 2012 Georgian of the Year. Bolling, founder and executive director of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, was honored for his longstanding commitment to helping feed the hungry throughout North Georgia. When he started the food bank in 1979, it was the first one in the South and one of the first in the nation. Today, his organization works with more than 1,000 volunteers monthly to distribute about 34 million pounds of food a year to more than 700 partner agencies.

The magazine also once again honored UWG President Dr. Beheruz N. Sethna as one of its 100 Most Influential Georgians. The magazine cited Sethna's recent term as chairman of the Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education, his participation in a delegation of U.S. university presidents who traveled to Israel for education talks and his receiving the Community Builder Award at the USA India Business Summit.
