The Soup Kitchen Reading Series is sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta (English honors society) and proceeds support the Carroll County Soup Kitchen. Please bring non-perishable food or money as a donation at the door.

Katy Gunn is currently an MFA candidate in creative writing at the University of Alabama, where she writes poetry and fiction that looks like poetry and also fairy tales. She graduated with a BA in English from the University of West Georgia, received scholarships to the Antioch Writers Workshop and Sarah Lawrence Summer Writers Workshop, recently had a poetry collaboration accepted for a conference at Indiana University, and has work published in the San Pedro River Review and Slice Magazine.


McRae.jpgNick McRae’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in American Literary Review, Copper Nickel, Linebreak, Passages North, Poet Lore, and other journals and anthologies. He is currently compiling and editing Gathered: The Anthology of Contemporary Quaker Poetry. Formerly a Fulbrighter in the Slovak Republic, Nick is now a University Fellow in Creative Writing at The Ohio State University. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.


Eric Smith’s poems appear most recently in Five Points, Green Mountains Review, and the Best New Poets 2010 anthology. He holds an MA from Northern Michigan University and an MFA from the University of Florida. He currently teaches at Marshall University and is managing editor for Cellpoems.
