The University of West Georgia’s Excel Center hosted their annual Day of Hope celebration in The Coliseum on Feb. 24. The celebration honors those who have earned and kept the HOPE Scholarship by maintaining a GPA of at least 3.0.“Most of my peers don’t have HOPE,” said UWG junior and HOPE mentor Adrian Sanders. “In college, there is a difficult level of difficulty. It’s hard to ask for help when you need it, especially when you’re known as the smart kid.”
