U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey, R-Marietta, told a crowd at the University of West Georgia on Tuesday that creating jobs should be a higher priority than any fundamental changes to health care.Speaking at a town-hall style meeting at the university’s Townsend Center for the Performing Arts, Gingrey said that with national unemployment teetering around the 10 percent mark and many Americans unable to pay for groceries much less health care, it’s time Congress started focusing on creating jobs in the country and putting Americans back to work.
